Day of the Dead is a holiday in my country. We don't really celebrate Halloween. It's the first two days of November. It's when the spirits of the dead come back for a couple of days to hang out with the living.
We also like to make fun of death, because we like to show that we are not afraid of it. Hence, the skulls and the dressing up and the fireworks.
